Foap - sell photos & videos App Reviews

Fun to play around with!

I enjoy viewing what others are posting. I posted a few photos just to see what happens, if anything. It looks like some of the reviews are from people who expected to sell their photos and are bitter that they didnt sell. More than likely you will not sell anything! But its fun to try!

Great time killer

Love looking at everyones photos and the challenges are fun. Not making any money, but its certainly a good time passer.

Dont Do It

HUGE waste of time. No one actually buys your photos. Do NOT download.

Missions

Uploaded some images to a mission and mission does not reflect the images even after a few days. Mission has 6 images showing as submitted but 100 participants. Seems like images arent posting for some reason. Hard to imagine almost 100 participants getting their images rejected. I sent email to Foap. Got a email they received my email. Will wait till Monday to see what happens.

Enjoy Posting and Viewing Pictures

Gotten some great feedback on my pictures. Havent sold any yet, but will keep trying!

High hopes for foap

Ive had foap for 3 weeks and uploaded nearly 300 pictures, and joined missions. I love photography, am a national award winning craftsperson, and teach art. People have been rating my photos with 4s & 5s. This AP has a real mix of ability levels, and I think its nice for feedback and looking at others photos, but dont expect to get rich here. I havent made a dime yet, but a few of my photos were accepted into Getty Missions which Foap says will bring in a higher volume of sales. Getting juried into Getty images or Shutterstock directly might be more lucrative if your skills are excellent and youre willing to put in some time. Some people are making a lot of money on foap, but they seem to have a huge volume of exquisitely edited photos and enter a lot of missions. Time that I dont have if the reimbursement is just $5 a photo.

Many users - large ecosystem

They seem to have a large amount of active users rating photos which is better than crickets. They accept all photos that other places like Getty will not accept good valid photos so that is a positive. As a buyer of stock photography, FOAP is off Googles radar, non existent, unless you actually type foap in the search. This limitation is not a good thing. Since the ecosystem is everything from amateur to a few pros with everything in between, foap should probably use that there advantage and sell photos for even less. As you can view sold photos on the app, not many sell. Half a loaf a bread is better than none, and virtually none is unfortunately what the app offers monetarily. Other than that is it very easy to use and fun to have your work seen and rated. That I have found enjoyment in.

Awesome photography community app

I love Foap. I spend quite a bit of my down time (time in the elevator to laying in bed at night) rating pictures, uploading my own photos and compiling albums. At first I blanket uploaded a bunch of unedited photos. I quickly realized the error in my way. I have since gone through, deleted, edited and in some cases reuploded, my gallery. I found that using Foap challenged me through real peer feedback, to upstep my photography and editing game. I downloaded an editor for free and have been editing. My pictures are getting really good. Im happy with this app even though I have not made any money from it yet.

Not what its advertised to be

This app is not an app for selling photos. VERY FEW people will ever sell one photo. Even the most successful only sell 2 or 3 photos. This app is mostly a photo sharing app. Do not engage if you are interested in selling photos.

Decent app

Its a pretty simple and decent app. Not super impressed but overall good app to make extra income if youre not quite a pro but take awesome photos.

Awesome

Cool app! Love seeing all the different photos and entering the missions!

Cool App

Cool app! Just need to sell some photos...

Foap

I do like people rating on my photos and I do like people using my photos in their folders to sell my photos with other photos in their albums I was wondering who will ever pay for the photos 0.25 cents seems to cheap to buy a photo but no one ever buys the photo I think if the buyer buys it for 0.25 cents then I should be getting $5.00 dollars per sale but if so cheap you think people would buy I dont know and contests seem good but dont expect to win soon maybe I need to sell photo like stock photos or something anyway God Bless

Waste of time

Started out with uploading 20 pics to see what would happen and just as I suspected-NOTHING! They were all rated excellent by their standards but not one even got viewed or rated in over a month.

Cool app
